American Airlines will be discontinuing its service from JFK to London Stansted Airport effective July 2nd. This will mean the advice for flying into London "stress-free" by flying into Stransted is no longer a viable option.
I will not leaving you all hanging however, I have another option for getting to London. Fly into Gatwick, a few miles away from London and ride the train into town. The airport is not very crowded and moves a much faster pace than Heathrow. The 40 minute train ride to Gatwick from London will likely be less than the amount of time you will spend standing in a seemingly endless line in Heathrow.
